On Thursday, March 3rd, 2022, the MUCAIN team travelled to Seville to present the official unveiling of the Museum of the Carrera de Indias at the Historical Municipal Archive of the city.Members of the Tercio de Olivares were there to ensure the security and effectiveness of the conference, guarding the event with the precision of an elite corps.
The event opened with a speech by Susana Cayuelas Porras, Territorial Delegate for Culture and Historical Heritage in Seville. Following that, Braulio Vázquez Campos, Director of the Provincial Historical Archive of Seville and a collaborator of the project, gave a brief introduction, before introducing the speakers: Carlos MartÃnez Shaw, Emeritus Professor of Modern History at UNED, and Ricardo A. Fernández González, founder of the Museum of the Carrera de Indias.
