Since the museum’s inception in 2021, a dedicated group of history enthusiasts and admirers of the captivating world of the Carrera de Indias have worked tirelessly to unveil the secrets, daring adventures, and extraordinary feats that shaped this legendary route.

The mission of this exceptional team is to share and celebrate everything the Carrera de Indias represented. An unprecedented route that marked the longest, most successful, and most transformative naval revolution in human history. The challenges and daring spirit of the entrepreneurs who carried it out formed the backbone of the Spanish Empire. Thanks to the visionary ambitions of this extraordinary movement, it gave rise to the First Globalization.

Within this museum, visitors will experience high-quality content, featuring exclusive texts, previously unseen images, and contributions from renowned collaborators. The Carrera de Indias spanned nearly 300 years of exploration, treasure hunts, new lands, perils, and adventures. It all began in 2015, with the first in-depth explorations into the epic saga of the Carrera de Indias and the extraordinary feat that forever shaped the course of history.

2021-2022

On October 9, 2021, MUCAIN was inaugurated.As it could only be, the opening of this museum coincided with the celebration of Hispanic Heritage Day.

2020-2021

The vision to bring MUCAIN to life in the digital realm begins to unfold—a groundbreaking virtual museum that invites visitors to embark on a journey through these legendary adventures, experiencing history as never before.

2018-2020

The launch of the first editions of the MUCAIN novel, met with overwhelming acclaim from readers. Participation in a series of prestigious conferences, delving into the legendary saga of the Carrera de Indias, captivating audiences and igniting passion for this monumental chapter of history.

2017-2018

The writing of the novel *MUCAIN: The Museum of the Carrera de Indias*, authored by Ricardo Antonio Fernández González, a captivating tale that brings to life the awe-inspiring saga of one of history’s greatest endeavours.

2015-2017

A meticulous gathering of historical documents and in-depth analysis of texts from various archives, with the unwavering goal of extracting, verifying, and ultimately bringing to life a monumental novel that will captivate readers, preserving the legacy of an era like no other.
